Plant Locations

SIMEC operations in Mexico are focused on meeting the needs of domestic and export markets, and therefore enjoy a competitive advantage provided by the strategic location of its 12 steel production and processing plants, and four scrap metal processors in the country, as well as eight plants in the United States and Canada, located near sources of raw materials and their target markets.

Mexico

Guadalajara, Jalisco

Grupo Simec mini-mill specialized in manufacturing structural and merchant shapes and special bar quality steels (Compañía Siderúrgica de Guadalajara).

Mexicali, Baja California

Grupo Simec mini-mill specialized in manufacturing structural shapes, rebar and merchant shapes, plus three scrap processing plants (Promex Mexicali, Promex Tijuana and Pacific Steel).

Apizaco, Tlaxcala

Grupo Simec mini-mill specialized in manufacturing special bar quality steels, rebar and merchant shapes.

Cholula, Puebla

Grupo Simec plant specialized in processing and giving added value to steel.

San Luis Potosí

Grupo Simec, two mini-mills (Aceros San Luis and Aceros DM) and a processing plant (Malla San), producers of long steels and is one of the country's most important producers of corrugated bar. Also one scrap processing plant (Abastecedora Siderúrgica).

United States and Canada
